BIS Plumbing and Civil recently completed a 2 lot sub-division project for Barwon Water Works, which included a variety of specialty plumbing and civil services. Our highly trained and reliable team arrived at the site equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, relevant PPE, and a determined attitude to get the job done.
A primary element of this project was manhole tapping and the installation of sewer drainage, in accordance with the plumbing and drainage standard (AS/NZS 3500.2, MRWA-S-311). This aspect of the job saw our team undertake VBA inspections as required, drain installations and pressure testing, as well as backfill and clean up.
The BIS team then followed up with replacing the concrete footpath pad, with help from high-quality jack-hammer machinery. Our qualified civil contractors installed a steel reo bar, crushed the rock base as per COGG standards, and finished off the concrete pad.
This project for Barwon Water Works also included traffic management services, and as such, we provided 2 professional controllers for a 10-hour day.
Exceeding the expectations of the client, the job finished with an efficient water tap; which included road closure, excavation to expose the water mains, the water, and valve tap in, roadway reinstatement, and asphalt of the roadway.
