Howzat! BIS Plumbing & Civil start cricket netting project

Project Details

At BIS Plumbing & Civil, we love being involved in projects that make a real difference on a grass-roots level in Geelong.

And the South Barwon Reserve Cricket Netting Facility Upgade is one such gem. Well, this much-anticipated project’s just begun so we’ve put on the white zinc cream, done our stretches and we couldn’t be happier.

As leading civil contractors based in Geelong, we know this upgrade will mean a lot to cricket enthusiasts including players from South Barwon and Marshall cricket clubs. Once we’ve finished our work, they will have great practice wickets they can use to hone their batting and bowling skills.

The training hub upgrade, at the popular Belmont reserve, includes putting in four new synthetic hard wickets and five natural turf wickets. The asset redevelopment for the City of Greater Geelong also involves demolition of the existing cricket netting structure.

South Barwon Cricket Club, which has just notched up 70 years of community sport, is a hive of activity during cricket season. Cricket is hugely popular in Geelong. During the cricket season, you’ll see cricketers in action on game day or at training on grounds across the region. Their shouts, calls of encouragement and applause are part of summer’s music in the suburbs and further afield.

Expert team

So, our expert team is going to do a great job for the city’s cricket players. You’ll see the upgrade take shape and, before you know it, there’ll be budding cricket stars of the future practising their bowling or batting on the upgraded wickets.

At BIS Plumbing & Civil, we pride ourselves our expertise, experience and versatility. From cricket facility upgrades to large-scale civil plumbing, earthmoving and excavation projects in Geelong and surrounds, we’ve got you covered. We also carry out quality domestic plumbing work.
